Key Information

Our school is situated in a suburb of Plymouth in the South West of England, about 3 miles from the city centre.

In January 2011, we became the first Primary Academy in Plymouth, reflecting our desire to chart our own particular independent direction for the future. Together with a group of like minded primary and secondary schools, we formed the Westcountry Schools Trust (WeST) in September 2017.

We are a two-form entry school with two parallel classes for each year group and we currently have 420 children aged from 4 to 11, arranged in four teaching teams:

  • A Foundation Unit of 60 children
  • Key Stage 1 - Years 1 and 2
  • Lower Key Stage 2 - Years 3 and 4
  • Upper Key Stage 2 - Years 5 and 6

In addition to the Main School, we have our own Nursery (for children aged from 3) and our own Before and After School Club and Holiday Club called the 'Lighthouse Club'.

We also have our own Chef and lunchtime service which the children have named the 'Orestaurant'.

We are generally oversubscribed but spaces do occur from time to time. Please contact us by phone or by emailing admissions@oreston.com. Should spaces not be available, we invite interested parents that wish to join us after Foundation to register on our waiting list.
