Wow! We have enjoyed a sensational 'Science Week' here at Oreston that has been jam packed with a lot of whizz, bang and pop! All children have participated from Nursery to Year 6; the children shared their wonderful 'Wow Science' moments during celebration assembly - there were so many to share! From skittle rainbows to walking rainbows, mixing potions to exploding elephant toothpaste, lava lamps to fizzing moonrocks, egg parachutes to reactive lemons, beans to flying rockets - it has been a week of "Wows!" from the children. To see the children's faces light up, hear their laughs, the oooohs and ahhhs has been absolutely wonderful. Scientific enquiry skills, problem solving, teamwork and oracy skills have all been used and put to the test during this very busy week. We can't wait for Science Week 2022 but until then, we will keep the science sparks alight!
