It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself as the Headteacher of Oreston Community Academy. I was appointed to this post in January 2019 and I feel very proud to be a part of such a great school. The entire staff team take genuine pride in being a highly positive and fully child-centred school offering really great learning experiences for all children.
Staff and children work very hard to achieve their best and our school has been praised for the exceptional range of opportunities for learning that we provide all our children here at Oreston to enrich our broad and balanced curriculum. We have a strong focus on Pupil Voice enabling all children to feel a valued member of our school community. We offer a wide variety of clubs run by staff and parents including our Lighthouse Club that offers wraparound care and a holiday club.
I am passionate about inclusion, improving outcomes and life chances for all children and challenging all children to achieve their very best. I believe that a school should be a place where both children and staff are inspired to achieve their best and feel excited about the broad and balanced curriculum on offer, whilst being given strong encouragement to succeed.
I enjoy working with the whole community as we continue to strive for success for our children. By working together, we can ensure that all children really enjoy coming to school, maintaining a love of learning and making excellent progress at the same time. I actively encourage parental involvement at all stages of your child’s school life. The staff team and myself will be available to support you and discuss any matters which are concerning you. If you are unable to catch me on the playground, please do make an appointment to see me.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our school’s website and I hope you have found all the information needed. If you are interested in your child joining our school, please do make an appointment to come and meet the staff, children and take a tour of our school. We look forward to meeting you.
